Glendale park worker finds 4ft ball python curled up in a rubbish bin
A Brand Park maintenance worker in Glendale, California, emptying rubbish bins found a 4-foot ball python curled up inside. Animal control took it to Pasadena Humane, where it is resting in a temperature-controlled enclosure and enjoying the odd soak in his pool.

Forget lost property. At Brand Park in Glendale, California, the surprise of the week was a 4-foot ball python curled up in a rubbish bin.
A maintenance worker emptying the park bins found the snake nestled among the usual crisp packets and litter. Animal control was called and took the python to Pasadena Humane for an exam. The incident appears to have happened around 2–3 November 2026; UPI Odd News and local KTLA/NBC coverage picked it up citing Pasadena Humane.
Pasadena Humane says the snake is now resting in a temperature-controlled enclosure and “enjoying the occasional soak in his pool”. Where he came from is still unclear – no owner has been publicly named.

From rubbish bin to poolside. Five-star upgrade. Origin still a mystery.
